At 2:45 PM EST CNBC personality Brian “Sully” Sullivan ,Amanda Drury and Herb Greenberg with a crowd of well wishers at CNBC N.J. Studios, revealed the winner of The CNBC Million Dollar Portfolio Challenge.
The Winner was Gary Lewis from Illinois. His portfolios beat out the other 674,733 portfolios to come out on top
Mr Lewis ,who is a cancer survivor attributed luck and going long and short at the right times…by using the 2x and 3x leveraged ETFs
Runner up and winner of the Maserati Convertible ,[which car nut Sully gladly took for a test drive earlier today];was Scott Cole from Redwood City California.
He also won runner up using the same levaraged ETFs that the winner used .
When Sully pointed out that Herb Greenburg and other critics think these levaraged ETFs are bad for the market;Mr Cole agreed ,stating that “He would never use these in his everyday investing”
Readers of this Blog were encouraged to compete in the contest with these products months ago.we see now that that approach worked
The fact both used these investment products to win shows a lot about the profits that can be achieved even in a volatile market with skill and/or luck
Congrats to all the contestants and Winners on their effort !.
