Stewart did a great job of counteracting Cramer, and I think it definitely shows Stewart to be a good journalist, and was very knowledgeable. What did everyone think of it?

Yes it was a good job. Stewart has a gift of taking subjects and simplifying them with a sarcastic twist. That’s why they call him a comedian and not a journalist. But truth is truth, does it matter if it comes out the mouth of a comedian or journalist? The sad fact here is a comedian is taking the financial journalist to task for his lack of ethics and willingness to tell the truth.
CNBC is in bed with Wall St. Go figure. The everyday person is paying the tab for their party.

It was amazing! I never thought I’d see the loudmouth Cramer silenced and humbled by a “comedian”!

Jon Stewart did a fantastic job on Jim Cramer. I loved how he pulled on the old tapes showing Cramer for what he really is =)
If you want to leave any thoughts on Jim cramer or want to see the episode again see the article I wrote

John Stewart and Jim Cramer are good friends. What they did is called show business..Get a grip on your life.

It is typical Jon Stewart, stalwart for the common man which is such a croc. How is Cramer to blame for anything? Shouldn’t people do their own D and D (just like he tells Cramer to do “Don’t take what the CEO’s say at face value” he arrogantly says when Cramer tells him that CEO’s have come on his show and lied). The Mad Money show is chock full of disclaimers so it would be nice if Stewart didn’t treat Americans like mindless lemmings.

If people would actually watch the entire interview instead of getting the cliff notes from someone else, you would have seen were Stewart told Cramer that this is not personal and that it is about the entirety of the economic situation that we are currently in.
With that said I think it was great that Stewart did this, even if Cramer and Stewart are friends and they did this for show, it broke down the things that (IMO) a great deal of people did not understand.

Yes, this is typical Stewart. He tells something newsworthy and backs it up using actual clips of the person in question doing the things he said they were doing. I don’t know why Cramer took it so personally. Stewart said on three different shows that the slam wasn’t about him. The original slam was about a CEO running a Ponzi scheme, and the interviewer from MSNBC avoiding asking him about how he was in the black while so many companies were in the red. It had nothing to do with Cramer. Don’t believe me? The Daily Show airs their complete shows online for free, so you can see for yourself how this went down. He also made fun of the fact that reporters were calling this whole escapade newsworthy.
He and Colbert are the only “reporters” with guts enough to expose people and networks for what they really are, and this interview was no more important than any other interview Jon has done. I can think of quite a few that had a lot more guts. Very few people give a rip about Jim Cramer.
EDDYG - I fail to see how Stewart is uneducated. He can pretty much talk about any subject with anyone. Who do you think one of the writers of the Daily Show is? Does the name Jon Stewart ring a bell?

John Stewart blind sided Jim Cramer. And everyone who thinks John Stewart is a smart man for all that he said to Jim Cramer and all the information he brought up, guess what, thats why he has a group of writers to come with all this crap for him. The reason the United States is full of idiots is becasue people get their news and information from retards like John Stewart and Stephen Colbert instead of from educated people who know what they are talking about.

It was not only amazing, but actually gives me a glimmer of hope. He completely took not only Cramer but the entire network apart.
Stewarts position was not one of doing for the Entertainment value, but the bare bone fact that it’s wrong and the reason we (the US) are in the position we are in.
I have the utmost respect for him.. I believe Cramer does to.
